The Spanish Society of Periodontology and Osseointegration (SEPA) and Dentaid are coming together to organise their first joint scientific symposium: Solving Clinical Cases: from Scientific Principles to Clinical Practice, addressed to dental hygienists. This initiative is an opportunity both for SEPA and for Dentaid together to show their dedication to and awareness of science and research. 

This first symposium will deal with the problems and pathologies that are most commonly seen in the dental office, such as dental hypersensitivity, xerostomia, halitosis and problems that occur from implant placement (mucositis and peri-implantitis). The conferences that will be held are: 

Dentinal hypersensitivity: what are the newest treatment advances? 

Dr. Francisco Gil Loscos 

Dry mouth: what causes this and what should I do? 

Dr. Gerardo Gómez Moreno 

Oral halitosis: how is it measured and how is it treated? 

Dr. Silvia Roldán Díaz 

Peri-implant mucositis: how can it be prevented?

Peri-implantitis: how is it treated and how is its recurrence prevented? 

Dr. Ignacio Sanz Sánchez 

All conferences will be delivered by professional experts in the subject matter who will offer information regarding the newest advances and treatment options. Speakers will use clinical cases to explain the scientific evidence available to properly resolve the problem set forth. 

The symposium will take place on Saturday, February 25 from 9AM to 2PM at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid (Campo de las Naciones), coinciding with Expodental. Hygienists that travel to Madrid can take the opportunity to attend the SEPA-DENTAID Symposium and also visit the different commercial stands in Expodental, where they will see Dentaid’s stand and their product innovations.
