Vienna June 6-9 was the venue of the seventh edition of the EUROPERIO, the world’s most important periodontology meeting. The event surpassed all expectations with 7.800 participants from 90 different countries, the greatest number recorded to date. 

DENTAID, Gold Sponsor and Partner of the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), was the only Spanish company to attend the EUROPERIO 7. The company had the opportunity to present the results of a scientific research carried out by the R&D&i team, with the lecture entitled Application of an Artificial Mouth Flow Model for Evaluating Mouthrinses, delivered by Dr. Vanessa Blanc, Director of DENTAID’s Microbiology Department. Along the same lines, a scientific poster was also presented on another of the company’s recent research works. 

Dr. Gerard Àlvarez from the Microbiology Department of DENTAID revealed the results of Use of Propidium Monoazide (PMA) for Quantification of Live and Dead Cells in Multispecies Oral Biofilm. 

New product launches 

We took advantage of the congress’ international setting to launch the VITIS implant^® and Interprox^® product lines, brushes designed for special situations. The congress, held every three years by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), is considered to be Europe’s most important periodontology meeting. 

Over the four days of the EUROPERIO 7, DENTAID offered extensive web 2.0 coverage. The company reported the different activities that took place in its trade booth and in the scientific programme.
