On May 11, the 5th edition of the Atlas of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry was presented in Barcelona by professionals renowned in the field of periodontics and implant dentistry, Drs. Jordi Cambra, Víctor Cambra and Berta García-Mur, with the collaboration of DENTAID through its brands Perio·Aid^® and VITIS^® gingival. 

The presentation of the Atlas of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry was well received by a large turnout of dental professionals who were able to have their doubts answered by the authors. All attendees received a copy of the atlas, to be used as a reference for resolving any issues that may arise in their dental practice. 

The aim of this new edition of the atlas is to create a manual to assist general dentists in managing their patients. This is a quick guide to which dental professionals can turn for solutions to any specific situations that may occur in the dental clinic. 

In this fifth edition, theoretical concepts have been updated and new clinical cases and further documentation have been added, all with the aim of achieving a more graphic atlas. 

This edition also incorporates two particularly important new chapters. One of them addresses the interdisciplinary or complementary therapy options to be employed in conjunction with periodontal treatment, and the other focuses on peri-implant disease, a new challenge that all periodontists face when managing patients with implants.
